It is getting more difficult to review Trysil with every year we travel there because it feels more and more a second home. There is always something to do on the mountain for every level of skier. We visited Trysil three times already and maybe will come back again.

Great resort for family skiing.
Plenty of snow in April and quiet on the slopes when you go outside of Norwegian school holidays. The only downside to the resort in April is that there is very limited choices for eating out. Many restaurants and bars only open during the day and close before 5pm. So would recommend considering self catering or half-board. Otherwise a really lovely place with lot…

The resort is excellent for beginner and intermediate skiers, with incredible snow, wide open pistes and no queues. While perhaps not having the range of slopes of the Alps, it's far less crowded and a great place to enjoy skiing amongst the pine trees.

Great resort. The hotel was fantastic with a great ski-in/out facility. It was close to the ski school which was amazing for our kids with brilliant instructors. The skiing too was ace. Clear pistes and hardly any waits for the lifts. Would definitely recommend.

Good family resort. Wide open rolling pistes. Good for most ski abilities. Not a huge ski area so if you ski dawn to dusk you will be limited and if you want to party this resort is not for you.
