Radisson Blu Resort Trysil Customer Reviews

It was our fourth time at Radisson Blu Trysil and it did not disappoint. Great location in the middle of the village, ski-in, ski-out, great restaurants and bars in the hotel, bowling alley, pool, kids play area, a retail shop for any emergency ski stuff and a supermarket around the corner. As a family with an eleven-year-old, we’ve tried both bed & breakfast, and half board. Both buffets were amazing, we’ve never seen such a comprehensive smorgasbord of cuisines, we were completely spoiled. Staff were super-friendly, chirpy and energetic. If you’re looking for an all-in-one hotel that’s got everything for a family ski holiday, pick Radisson Blu Trysil.

Good size room for family of 5 (we had two bedroom appartment - in each bedroom and 5th in lounge in pull down double). Food was good, big selection at breakfast. Buffet in the evening was ok, prob a bit weaker but it was still nice - ate at the Italian place a couple of nights too and pizzas were lovely. Bowling downstairs was good fun for everyone (we had 3 older sons with us). Pool was fab if you have a younger family. Spa was nice but tbh a bit busy and overbooked.

Absolutely brilliant family hotel, probably for all aged kids (ours are sub 10). Rooms are fine without being spectacular but they are clean, well appointed, spacious enough…..a little too hot. Food is largely buffet style (which I typically don’t like) but quality was very high. Pls note, this isn’t gourmet/michelin food but it was some of the best buffet quality I have experienced. Good variety and variation night on night. Breakfast buffet had a very wide selection catering for all needs and just what was required pre-skiing. The pool is brilliant for kids…..but, fair warning to adults, it is full of kids having lots of loud fun. Bowling, arcades, pool hall…..all great fun but again, full of children having loud fun. In summary, if you are looking for a really quite special family orientated hotel in a ski resort, this is absolutely perfect and do not hesitate. If you are going without children, be prepared to accept this hotel is geared up that way.
