Summary

Formerly the Park Inn Mountain Resort, the Radisson Blu Mountain Resort & Residences is the Trysil’s highest-rated hotel by independent customer surveys. Perched 800 metres above sea level, right on the slopes in the Fageråsen ski area, the views are stunning, while the décor of wood, stone and earthy-toned fabrics creates a contemporary and cosy feel. The room options are good too, ranging from standard doubles to large apartments for groups and families. And with superb amenities, you’ve got everything from a spa and ski hire to a bakery on-site, while the open fire in the bar is our favourite spot for cocktails before dinner in one of the two hotel restaurants.

It’s worth noting that the pool, gym & spa are payable locally. As a hotel or apartment guest, you’ll receive a 50% discount.

Every holiday is tailor-made, just for you.

Very nice, food was very good, also very good at catering for gluten free. Staff were all very friendly. Very clean. Very good ski lockers and ski in, out. Was nice to be able to get ski hire, lift pass, all under one roof being in the hotel, made life very easy.

A spacious 2-bedroom apartment with a fantastic amount of kitchen appliances, utensils, crockery and cutlery. The beds were comfortable, I'd have liked a bigger pillow selection! Very comfortable size for three of us but might have been rather cramped if the six adults it was capable of taking had been there. High quality furniture, fittings and decor.

The hotel was situated on the quieter side of the resort in beautiful surroundings. It had a traditional Norwegian feel and was welcoming and modern. The staff were helpful and friendly. Rooms were well presented with a very comfy bed and there was always hot water, no matter what time of day you had a shower. Only negative was that the maid service was a bit sporadic, sometimes in the morning, mid afternoon or early evening. Both breakfast and dinner in the buffet restaurant were excellent and there was a wide range of things to choose from. Even on busy evenings, such as New Years Eve, the quality of the food remained high. The two set times for dinner worked well and meant the restaurant was never overcrowded. It was worth paying extra for the spa access, although it did get busy at weekends. Lovely After Ski Bar on site with live music and a tasty lunchtime buffet of goulash and lasagne! Although be sure to request a hotel room away from this as the music could be heard in our room directly above it.
