The hotel itself was a jewel, with faultless design for accommodating skiers, providing easy access and storage space for equipment. The hotel was right at the foot of the slopes, so it was straight onto the lifts each day, and a stone's throw to the ski-school and ski pass/hire lodge. In addition to this, it was an easy and pleasurable walk into town, and there was a very regular bus from the hotel taking you over to the slopes on the opposite side if you so wished; this was all included in the price of the one ski-pass. The hotel itself was sumptuously furnished, and had a real 'hygge' feel, which added to the atmosphere, as we were there over Christmas. The rooms were warm and spacious; we had a family-type suite with a living room and kitchenette. The beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom great, with a roomy shower. The food was outstanding, the staff delightful. All in all, a fabulous place to stay.

A two minute walk from ski hire, lessons and the chairlift ensured you can make the most of the outdoors. Within the hotel, the additional facilities such as the pool, soft play, spa and bowling ensured we were never short of something to do. The standard of room and food was very good excellent although the lack of fridge and kettle in the room made us reliant on the hotel / local restaurant for lunch and snacks. I’d have liked a bit more information on the resort - there was no hotel information booklet in the room so I was unaware of any additional services such as laundry until speaking to other guests. The website is quite limited too which was a little frustrating when compared to most hotels. However, it was much more relaxed than other hotels in that price bracket. The Christmas programme for the guests was very good and my son really enjoyed the Christmas Eve and Christmas Day events.
