The resort itself was great. The lifts are modern and efficient and the queues very short. I love the windscreens on the chairlifts, very cool. There is a good range of on-mountain restaurants. Loved it there. Traditional town. Ryokan Jon Nobi was a lovely place to stay. Excellent location. People were friendly and helpful. Slopes were good and well-groomed. Had cause to use the nearby hospital in Iiyama. They couldn't have been more helpful, efficient and caring.

Great time at Nozawa Onsen. Ryokan was really good, quite far from the ski lifts, but we could leave all our ski gear at Salomon Rentals so not really an issue. Hotel was really good to experience local culture, breakfasts excellent, and the resort restaurants were all really good value, with no bad meals at all. would stay in the resort and hotel again
