Grand Hirafu is the perfect place to stay

Amazing snow! Lift infrastructure was surprisingly a tad behind the Austria/Switzerland/France standard

Amazing snow during our entire stay, great skiing, especially off piste. Lots of fab bars and restaurants.

excellent and really great all around. generally smaller than i expected which is why having the guide and going to different resorts was key

Brillant snow, deep power, busy queues to get on lifts, but slopes reasonably clear. Would recommend a visit..

Everything you need and more. 20 years of snowboarding and this resort will take some beating.

Amazing snow with an excellent ski area, covering all types of skiing (backcountry, trees, gullys etc). We encountered some queues for the key lifts, however, this was no major issue as there is some much area to ski. We even had 2 days of sun before the snow arrived.....and it was everything we had dreamed of.

We stayed in Hirafu which is a bustling resort with good range of restaurants, bars and shops at all price points. Excellent transport links and good lift system on the mountain (although some are a bit old fashioned!) but expect a few queues at busy times - but all very orderly with no pushing or shoving! The snow was out of this world making for excellent skiing conditions. We loved it!
