Truly ski in/out with great powder - runs are limited but the snowfall made up for this. Lift system was excellent with no queues except for the Gondola, but the chairlift went to the same level with no queue at all - be aware that to get from Furano to Kitanomine on the piste takes some doing as the uphill slope on the crossover is very steep and with such good snow it is difficult to generate enough speed to actually make it up without having to walk.

As expected much smaller resort than those in the Alps, some of the lifts are rather ancient, and printed lift passes from a country where even the loos clean your bum for you??!! But the off piste was excellent even though the 4ft champagne powder eluded us a great time was had. A good fall on the last night meant a fun and tiring last day. Small does not mean dissappointing, a lack of crowds and sufficient facilities.
