Many thanks for all you did in arranging a quite brilliant trip for us. Everything worked so smoothly and the resorts were perfect for what we wanted and then expected. Both resorts were complaining of poor snow but compared to typical years in Europe it was excellent and we had fresh snow in both resorts. Yellowstone Park was fantastic as we got to see some Wolves and completed a 3 dog day which apparently is rare at this time of year. James your advice that we would be skiing early morning in Big Sky after driving up from Jackson Hole was spot on!!

Well, my husband and I have just returned from our 1st Ski Safari trip - The Yellowstone Safari. What a great trip. Big Sky was so much more than we expected. So much space and great variety of terrain - wonderful long groomers, fun tree runs and natural small winding half pipes to whoop and giggle in. Those wanting steep terrain, well they have plenty of that too, really steep !!! For those wanting lessons then their ski and snowboard instructors are excellent. I can highly recommend the one 2 one lesson to advance your technique. Grand Targhee was a very pleasant surprise. We knew nothing of the resort prior to the trip and the website doesn't do it justice. It has only four lifts at present but so much more terrain than you would expect, like an open playing field once you come of the chairs - great fun. We would have liked to have spent another day there in hindsight. It does have a reputation for low cloud which we did experience - only one lift was open for part of the morning, but once the cloud lifted enough to open the others the lifties were very prompt to get everyone up on the hill. Driggs is worth a walk through too, we had breakfast there on our way to Jackson and I can highly recommend tasting their Teton Vodka which is brewed locally - the brewery has tours. Jackson Hole a powder junky's heaven. Unfortunately there had not been any quantity of fresh powder for a couple of weeks when we were there, but a really great mountain to ski and ride regardless. Be warned there is a LOT of very steep terrain. One local told me that their 'Double Blues' would be Blacks in some other places. We stayed in Teton Village as we prefer ski in/out accommodation. Staying in Jackson is cheaper and a really nice town - lots of shops and galleries to visit, so great for a little retail therapy. Asymbol, the gallery opened by Travis Rice is well worth a visit. Travelling to and fro is easy - the local bus service runs every ten/fifteen minutes and costs $3 each way. We got to see a couple of moose on one of our journeys into Jackson. Jackson Hole is a iconic resort you never know who you will be sitting next to - we had breakfast along side Jeremy Jones!!! This trip excelled all our expectations. In hindsight we would have added one more day/night to the trip and had 3 nights at Grand Targhee. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!!!

This is a wonderful trip, not to be missed. Jackson Hole is a wonderful resort, with challenges for all levels (although we were not up to the challenge of Corbet's!!) and the Wort Hotel is a great choice. If you get a bit of free time, take a visit to the Elk Refuge while you're there. Grand Targhee is a gem of a resort and a few days there would have been better than one, the snow is probably the best we have skied. The Yellowstone Safari is a good (but long) day with plenty of Bison and Elk spotting on the way. Big Sky is a great place to stay, big resort but it's also worth upgrading your ticket for a day to ski in Moonlight Basin. Really recommend you try this trip, the driving is easy and the distances not too far between resorts."

My group of 5 have just returned from a fabulous 2 week Yellowstone Safari. The whole holiday was very well put together, all the accommodations were lovely although The Lodge at Jackson Hole stood out as the most luxurious. We visited Big Sky, Grand Targhee and Jackson Hole and also managed to fit a day's Ski-doo tour round part of Yellowstone National Park. All the resorts were very good and we were lucky to have mostly good snow conditions. All in all an excellent and varied holiday with something for everyone.
