The day includes guided backcountry skiing, telemarking or snowboarding, during which you'll improve your skiing, increase your safety knowledge, get you skiing and riding our bucket list backcountry runs and better your awareness in big mountain terrain.
Private groups (six people per guide) are ideal for solo skiers or boarders looking to improve skills and meet likeminded people, as well as larger groups. For the ultimate experience, provide your guide with a detailed list of experience and objectives so that your guide can fittingly cater to your ability and interests.

Private hire is available any day of the Whistler Blackcomb season, subject to availability.

Ability level:
Advanced intermediate to expert skiers or snowboarders with any level of backcountry experience. Suitable for any age skiing at a level 5/6, and competent at skiing down an ungroomed "Black Diamond".

Required equipment:
- Touring skis, splitboard or teleskis
- Skins
- Ski poles (with powder baskets) for both skiers and snowboarders
- Metal avalanche shovel
- Probe (320 length)
- Beacon (3 antennas required)
- Ski touring backpack (25-30 litres)
- 1L of water
- Lunch with lots of snacks for on the go
- Valid lift ticket (discounted tickets available)
- Extra warm layers
- Sunglasses and goggles
- Sunscreen
- Toque and hat
- Helmet (recommended)
- Avalanche Canada books/resourses (AST courses only)
