Stockholm is an excellent stopover that can be easily added to stays in Åre, Riksgränsen and Björkliden. Convenient for even a one night stay - connected to the airport by the Arlanda Express taking only 20 minutes to the city.

- Skogskyrkogården - A beautiful cemetery south of the city and easily accessed by the metro. Set in woodland and recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
- Birka - Located on the island of Björkö west of Stockholm centre and regarded as the oldest Swedish town. It was an important Viking trading centre and is recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
