In the lively area of Vesterbro, the Absalon Hotel offers all the comforts of a large hotel chain with a little more personality.

Family owned, it was founded in 1938 but has been recently renovated. The 24-hour reception staff are on hand to help with your every need, and it’s a short walk to many of Copenhagen’s many attractions.

With a bar which also offers room service, you can relax in your room if you need a break from exploring, or check out the courtyard if the weather’s nice or the lounge if it isn’t. You can also hire bikes from reception for a quicker way to navigate the cycle-friendly city.
