Prestige Lakeside Resort Customer Reviews

Provides a convenient base for getting up to Whitewater ski resort and it's an easy ten minute walk to the bars and restaurants on Nelson's main street. The hotel has a pleasant lakeside setting but the hotel itself feels quite corporate and is a bit soulless. If you like the colour brown, you won't be disappointed as nearly every surface is painted a shade of it making the place a bit dingy. Staff friendly enough, decent beers in the bar but it's pretty quiet, and the food served in the hotel restaurant was distinctly average so you'd be better off heading into town for meals.

We stayed at the Prestige Resort Hotel, in a Lakeside side room with a balcony overlooking the lake, lovely to sit with a G & T and contemplate the days runs before hitting the pool and spa or just having a shower before taking a walk around Nelson. Nelson, a really unique town with lots of history. It is difficult to describe Nelson with its Co-op selling organic and whole food sourced locally to it’s “Pot” dispensaries on the high street (yes, Pot/Weed, very alien to those of us from the UK). Some good places to eat, lots of variety, explore the side streets some of these places are tucked away. Lots of massage and spas if you want to ease those aching muscles and some good outdoor shops catering for most outdoor activities.
