After spending much time reviewing the options for Canada and USA, we decided upon Whistler. I can only say that it fully lived up to all expectations and I would have no hesitation in recommending or returning.

Awesome - record low snowfall this season but the boarding was still great, so much terrain and variety even without much powder. Whistler Village has everything you need. including some amazing restaurants. Araxi, Sushi Village and Mexican Corner all highly recommended.

Although the Canadians were moaning there was no snow there was plenty, almost all the mountain was open and the weather was perfect.

Fantastic. Friendly. Efficient transport links. Super friendly lifties and resort staff. Superb runs, long than most I have skied and the sheer vastness will blow you away. Food is fairly limited but there are some excellent restaurants. It is child friendly, learner friendly and breathtakingly beautiful. Excellent resort with a fantastic mountain and plenty to do in the town. Can get busy (we had a 45 minute lift line one day but that was after 50cm of snow) but the mountain is big enough that you don't feel crowded once you are up, at least until the end of day when everyone funnels through the same routes.
