Nita Lake Lodge Customer Reviews

Nita Lake Lodge is a delightful setting on the edge of Creekside resort. It is quiet and tucked out of the way, but still only about a 5 minute walk from the base of Whistler Mountain via the Creekside Gondola. The main entrance is impressive with the lobby opening out into the Cure lounge area, a laid back bar area based around a huge fireplace. Little touches start here to show you that you are in a luxury establishment, with beautiful blankets draped on the leather sofas to allow you to relax on comfort (and warmth) whilst working your way through the impressive cocktail list. The Aura Restaurant is to the left, and having ventured in for the 5-course taster menu one evening I can honestly say that it is up there with some of the very best we have had. Having mentioned the quality of the downstairs you will be surprised to hear that the rooms are even more luxurious: the floorspace of the One-bedroom suite (a complimentary upgrade that we weren't aware of until we actually got into the room) is impressive; the under tile heating of the oversized bathroom (double bath and wet room shower) is lovely in the cold weather of Whistler. The excellent size living space could comfortably seat 4 adults and provides a cosy atmosphere with the gas fire. Huge windows in both the living area and bedroom (which looks out onto a large balcony) lets in huge amounts of light and allowed us a lovely panoramic view across the Nita Lake. It was a lovely space to spend time in when we weren't on the slopes or enjoying the Cure downstairs. The gym could do with work but then during the winter you are less likely to be there for a indoor workout, but few hotels ever seem to get this right. My wife is a keen advocate of yoga and she said that the class she attended was good, but this will no doubt get even better once the yoga studio is finished. The staff were generally good, running a shuttle service at any time of the day or night to take you into Whistler or Creekside, and always seemed to be upbeat and keen to give you advice on where to go and what to do. Overall an outstanding hotel and if we return to Whistler we will no doubt find ourselves in Nita Lake Lodge, unless they are fully booked in which case we will likely camp down in their lobby...

Lovely hotel in convenient situation close to Creekside ski lifts approx 2 miles from Whistler main village but a far superior quieter locality with wonderful views to lake and mountains fantastic trail walking on the door step,rooms are spacious clean and well furnished the food served in the a la carte restaurant is outstanding the staff are very helpful and friendly nothing is to much trouble . This is our 2nd stay at Nita Lake Lodge and we cannot wait to return . We have traveled to many ski locations and hotels over the past 20 years and consider Nita Lake Lodge to be one of the best. The overall service is outstanding the location fantastic for value for money this hotel would be hard to beat.
