Small but good. Purpose built but not at all soul-less. Amazingly friendly. Loved it and want to go back as soon as we can. Limited extent compared to Europe. Probably enough skiing for three or four days but fine for a week if you are not bothered about repeating runs. We were very happy. Loads of pistes through the trees. Lots of fun pistes with trees on them to ski around. Hardly any significant queues, maybe a few minutes first thing in the morning. The morning and afternoon hosted skiing was a really good way to meet people. Several good places to eat out and one or two to avoid (ask the locals) We did not want to leave even though we were heading for Whistler.

Easily accessible from Kamloops. Wide variety of skiing. Particularly enjoyed Morrisey Mountain. It was our second visit to Sun Peaks and we enjoyed revisiting the village and the pistes. It felt busier on this visit, and clearly there is huge investment happening with new accommodation planned. Might change the dynamic which would be a shame. As with Silver Star, it is an attractive resort with plenty of skiing, and few lift queues. Noticeably more British skiers here than at Silver Star.

Sun Peaks is a great family resort, we really enjoyed the skiing this year. Brilliant that the kids can do runs on their own and we still all end up in the one place. Short queues, brilliantly groomed slopes and plenty of adventure. Cons slow rickety chair lift, very exposed especially when very cold. Lift pass system seems like something from a by gone age, saying this it seems to work, people always so mannerly and polite in the line. Lack of mountain restaurants / coffee stops. Setting up ski hire is wooful, slow too many stages involved and no ownership by a single person.
