Facilities and services in Silver Star

Free Mountain Tours - Mountain Hosts meet daily in the village at 9:30 am and 1:15 pm and offer guests FREE mountain tours.

In-resort Shuttle - The On-mountain shuttle bus runs from 8am through to 10pm.

Ski Dazzle Retail outlet - Silver Stars premier retail store and has everything, whether you're looking for the latest in fashion or high-performance hard goods.

The Goody Box - Bursting with favourite candy, sweets, retro treats and imported favourites. Plus the best souvenir range on the mountain.

Coldstream Dry Goods - A charming store offering an eclectic collection of gifts, home decor, souvenirs, jewellery, artwork and sportswear. Open 7 days per week, and located on Main Street.

Lord Aberdeen Market - A full-service grocery and liquor store where you will find everything you need for your stay. There's a large variety of fresh produce, meat and fish, locally baked goods and all your condiments and preserves. They also offer a home delivery service.

Gallery Odin - Gallery Odin, represents 29 artists from British Columbia and the Okanagan, showcasing both two and three-dimensional works.

Village Ski Shop - The Village Ski Shop carries an extensive selection of downhill and Nordic ski wear and accessories, offering a wide variety of the latest technical fabric and insulation systems from first layer to outerwear, as well as the latest in Nordic lines for both skate and classic, including Rossignol, Salomon, Toko and Swix.

Things to do in Silver Star

Nordic/Cross-country skiing - 105 km of trails at Silver Star and Sovereign Lake Nordic Centre will keep even the most avid Nordic skier occupied for the duration.

Snowshoeing - Access to the Snowshoe Trail is now included with your lift pass. Silver star offers 16 kilometres of singletrack trails weaving in and around the forested area in lower cross-country trails. The trails vary in difficulty and are clearly marked with reflective markers, allowing them to be used at night.

Terrain Parks - 16-acre terrain park with a selection of tabletops, step-up jumps and spines designed for progression of riders and skiers.

Indoor Climbing Wall - The indoor climbing wall is 19 meters wide and 7 meters high, and offers varying degrees of difficulty for every skill level, including two chimneys and a bouldering cave. Perfect for 'first timers' with equipment, instruction, a belaying device and harnesses all available to get you started. Open Monday, Wednesday, Friday nights from 6 to 9pm. $5 for 2 climbs, 10 climbs for $20.

Horse Sleigh Rides - Take a magical tour along Silver Star’s pristine wilderness trails and warm up with a mug of hot chocolate or dinner at the Wild Horseman’s Cabin. A truly unique tour for your whole family!

Ice-Skating - With a one-hectare natural skating surface, an outdoor fire and music the skating at Brewer's Pond is brilliant. Open Mon to Thurs 3pm to 8pm, Fri-Sun 12pm- to 8pm.

Mini-Snowmobiles - Watch your youngsters' faces light up with excitement as they ride these mini snowmobiles round and round on a designated fenced track. Mini sleds are especially for those aged 6-12 years and under 100lbs.

Snowmobile Tours - Experience the Silver Star backcountry like never before on one of our amazing snowmobile tours!

Childcare facilities

Daycare and skiing for children aged 18 months to 5 years - At Star Kids, your children are cared for by professionals who provide them with both indoor and outdoor fun. They offer a skiing program for children aged 3 to 5 years. Daycare Plus is a full day of daycare with a 1 hour private lesson in the morning or afternoon, we provide the rental equipment for free. Complimentary early drop offs and late pick-ups are available.
