RED Mountain Condos Customer Reviews

We stayed on the mountain in one of the A-Frame Lodges. Basic, clean and comfy, providing easy access to the Day Lodge and base lifts and we were able to ski, through powder, down to our door at the end of the day. The A-Frame has 3 bedrooms, each with a double bed, bathroom, kitchenette and living space, so Stuart and I had plenty of room for ourselves and our kit. Val and her husband who own and run these self catering units are very welcoming and extremely helpful. Luxury condos are also available and there is a new large hotel currently being built. There is a nice Italian restaurant in the resort village and a bar but this is not a hub for night life. You can stay in the local town of Rossland an old gold mining town - a lovely little town with some nice little shops, but again this is not a night life zone. There is a free bus that runs between Rossland and ski base regularly but if you are staying on the mountain note the last bus back up the hill was at 5.30pm. If you are going to stay on the hill I would suggest you pick up essentials on route as there is no food shops on the hill. Don’t be put off by having to drive it is an easy, enjoyable route and we got to see a moose, a bob cat, an Artic hare and loads of deer, and you can always grab a coffee on the way.
