New for winter 2022/23, The Approach provides modern but down-to-earth mountainside accommodation right at the base of Panorama's slopes.

Replacing the old Pine Inn, The Approach sits in the centre of the resort and offers easy access to the excellent eateries, restaurants and bars in the village. It's one of the most convenient ski-in-ski-out accommodation options you'll find in North America - the Mile 1 high-speed quad chair is right on the doorstep and the ski rentals and ski school are just a short walk away.

The new accommodation houses 104 rooms, ranging from singles to slope-side suites and will boast breathtaking mountain views as well as modern and innovative facilities.

I really want to give the Approach more stars but there are really simple things they could do to make it much better. The room was very nice and the bathroom lovely but it was extremely hot, the in room control panel did not seem to alter the temperature, and the patio doors had screws in the tracking which prevented opening. The access corridors are narrow and not superwelcoming. On the plus…
