Emerald Lake Lodge Customer Reviews

It was very good, weather and snow were perfect. I think we were there at just the right time as their heavy snow came later than usual this year. Emerald Lake Lodge was just as I remembered and we did have a room overlooking the lake, thanks for organising. Apparently March is a slow time for them and so it felt as if we had the place almost to ourselves. It's perfect for getting away from it all. Our rental was an enormous Dodge Durango .. excellent for their weather conditions if a little large for our needs.

This lodge is in a stunning location beside a lake surrounded by forest and high peaks. Accommodation is in individual cabins housing up to 4 rooms and the rooms feature fire places with supplies of very easy to light logs. This makes for a very cosy atmosphere. Meals in the main lodge are either in the bar or restaurant and are reasonably good and priced. We stuck mainly to the bar food and enjoyed the draught beer which was the best we tasted in Canada. The atmosphere was very relaxing and staff friendly and helpful, we would love to return in summer for hiking. Altogether a very memorable experience for a few days, a remote feeling in stunning location yet within easy reach of lake Louise ski area and a little bit further to Kicking Horse.
