Very friendly town and resort. The ski bus service would be better if it ran a little more. Lots of things to do other than ski. lots of walking with potential for wildlife spotting. Grocery stores, good a well stocked. Ski resort small compared to some but very easy to navigate and try different runs or trees knowing you'll end up safely at the base. recommend The Raven restaurant...amazing.

The drive over to Jasper is beautiful and we loved the area. We found the town quiet (even by our tame standards!) and the ski area was quite small. we enjoyed it but as avalanche risk closed some of the more adventurous areas we were ready to move on. We finished skiing mid afternoon and enjoyed exploring the local area, especially Maligne Canyon (stunning!).

We found this a good resort for our ski-ability level with great snow, good piste grooming and just so very empty. Small area but that wasn't a problem for us - can imagine it might be for others. Quite a trek up to the resort from the town but easy parking outweighed the problem. Very very quiet in town but still good restaurant choices.

The Chateau Jasper is slightly tucked away from the main hustle of this beautiful town but everything was a walking distance. Room was big with two double beds, nice bathroom and again fridge and all the coffee making facilities. Underground car park was free and very warm. We also used the local pool but unfortunately during kids rush hour so did not stay long. The resort - Marmot Basin - is abou…

Very friendly, great skiing especially as we had loads of fresh snow. Not as big an area as other resorts but fine for us. Good town; lots of restaurants and bars. Better to use own transport to slopes as shuttle is limited.

I have boarded in Europe for many years and finally in Jan 2008 went to Jasper for ten days, oh my god!!!!!! Heaven!!! What an amazing place, we stayed at the oldest hotel in Jasper, the staff, and local people were so helpful and polite, every one we met could not do enough, and best of all the ski conditions and organization at Marmott were terrific, to top it all off the tours we did with the l…

Have visited Marmot Basin four times in winter and every visit was different. Something for every level of boarder or skier and the Ski School has to be the best I have come across, tuition not just bombing down the hill!!! Will be visiting again and will be good to see the resort again.
