We stayed at The Lizard Creek Lodge over Christmas and New Year 08/09 the room we had was huge, the bed massive and extremely comfortable. The living area was ideal with a 3 seater sofa and a single comfy chair and coffee table, The kitchen was well equipped with an over sized fridge with large freezer compartment. Cooker, filter coffee machine, microwave etc. Bathroom also large. Small balcony overlooking the Elk chair. The Lizard Guest Lounge was very comfortable for sitting round a huge loge fire either having drinks or a casual meal - the pulled pork sandwich was to die for! The main dining area just off the lounge was just a more formal area with different selections, the service in both areas was excellent the staff were incredibly helpful with their suggestions for both the menu and wines, we were pleasantly surprised. I have to commend the chef, particularly on the New Years Dinner it was excellent. We enjoyed having the choice to make something simple to eat for ourselves in our room or going upstairs to the lounge to dine casually or more formally to the dining room or for when we really couldn't move - Room service! We also had a locker for our skis and underground parking. Within the hotel there is a Ski/Board hire and repair shop. There is also a hot tub and swimming pool, although we didn't actually use it! There is also a spa for any beauty treatments and massage. Laundry facilities are available on each floor. All in all I really recommend this hotel and will definitely stay there again.

I stayed at this property a number of years ago.It is simply the best place to stay in Fernie although a little pricey.The one bedroom suites are enormous and contain a huge double bed.The pool and hot tub area are great and there fantastic views of the slopes from the pool deck.The huge dining room/lounge with a roaring log fire is very welcoming and it is great for families as the childcare is a stones throw away.Highly recommended!
