Insider tips from our team

The Skiing

Castle Mountain is renowned for long steep runs and an average of 9 metres (30 ft) of snowfall yearly. After fresh snowfall, rare is the day when you can't find fresh tracks at 3:30 pm once you're familiar with the forever changing terrain at Castle. It offers the shortest lines, the most powder and an all-natural skiing experience. Simply put it is a full-service ski area with all of the amenities of the larger mountain resorts, without the larger mountain prices!

The opening of Mount Haig a few years ago added new terrain for intermediate and novice skiers. The rest of the terrain has been enjoyed by the locals in the know for the past forty years - it is steep and the snow is deep!
