Skier or snowboarder:
Snowboarder
Favourite resort:
Kicking Horse – big mountain – big snow – good times.
Best mountain moment:
I know it's not good for my carbon footprint but back country Snowmobiling/snowboarding with my best friends in Revelstoke is definitely up there.
Ski/ boarding history:
Snowboarding since 16 yrs, instructor for 4 yrs in Canada and New Zealand, 4 seasons in Whistler, 1 season in Banff and 1 season in New Zealand.
Resorts visited in 11/12:
Mt Hood Meadows, Timberline, Mt Hood Ski Bowl and Mt Bachelor. Oregon’s finest.
Next trip:
Whistler definitely (again) for spring, Jackson Hole, Grand Targhee, Big Sky, or Big White, Silver Star and Sun Peaks.
Interesting fact:
As an Englishman I never thought I’d say this, BUT, the beer I drank in Oregon is the best in the world...there said it.
Top ski trip recommendation:
Kicking Horse has some of the most challenging skiing and snowboarding in North America, with incredible snow, and can be added as part of a Rockies or Powder Safari. The Big Mountain Centre (BMC) is like the Top Gun School of guiding – think “you’re the best of the best – we’ll make you better” - during my two days with the BMC I learnt an incredible amount about terrain choices, steeps, snow conditions and how to ride the biggest terrain going, in a safe and fun learning environment. Truly superb and only $100 per person for a full day including free use of all powder skis and boards!
