Skier, although I’d love to try boarding again.

Ski/Boarding History
Limited (sadly), although I’m ready to change that. I gave boarding a go when I was very young but didn’t return to the mountains for about 20 years, when I gave skiing a go on a week-long trip with my wife’s family.

Best Mountain Moment
A whiteout during my first day skiing (and my first lesson) was certainly memorable, but my best moment has to be a day trip over to a neighbouring valley on the final day of the week. Skiing new, unknown slopes and keeping up with the experienced skiers around me felt like a real achievement, and by the end of the day I had well and truly caught the ski bug.

The Alberta Rockies Ski Safari looks incredible. Skiing four incredible resorts and driving the Icefields Parkway - what more could you want from a trip?!

For fellow newbies, book tuition early on your trip, but allow plenty of time to go out and practice at your own pace, too. It really pays off.
