Three minutes' walk from downtown Banff, the Moose Hotel and Suites is a beautifully furnished hotel with a stunning rooftop hot tub.

It features natural materials and contemporary artwork which, of course, is mostly moose-themed. The spa features a pool, sauna and rooftop hot tubs, where bubbling away with panoramic views of the Rocky Mountains has to be the best way to round off a ski day.

There’s a choice of guest rooms, as well as suites with balconies, fireplaces and kitchenettes, and the hotel’s Pacini Italian Restaurant serves very good breakfasts and meals. You’ll have the chance to work your way through everything from waffles and pizzas, to steak and gourmet pasta while you’re here.

We stayed in a suite, which is, effectively, an apartment. Catering options are limited to a fridge and microwave but that was fine for us. Storage, initially, we thought was a problem but actually was fine. We had quite a lot of clothing as we were there for over two weeks. There is a large 6 drawer unit, a wardrobe with hanging and more shelves, 6 hooks in the bedroom and a couple of small cabin…

Great hotel. We had a one bedroom suite which worked out well for a family of four with two teenagers. Having a small kitchenette was very useful. Roof top pool area is great. Bus for ski areas is right next door and everything in town an easy walk. Handy ski lockers in the basement - but leave extra time to get your skis out on the first day - the locks are tricky!

Beautiful hotel, rooftop hot tubs great. Breakfast and dinner in hotel restaurant lovely. Only suggestion would be to provide some tableware and cutlery in the room if you want to eat breakfast in the room as the restaurant opening time in the morning doesn’t leave much time to have breakfast and get in the first bus.

The Moose hotel was an ideal base in Banff. It is a short walk to the centre of town. The ski shuttle buses pick up and drop off from almost outside. The rooms were comfortable and the two hot tubs on the roof were just perfect after a day of skiing.

Friendly and Professional staff, good size rooms, nice restaurant on site and what makes the hotel stand out is the pools on the roof with unbelievable views of the mountains.

We have stayed here many many times and we do love it. Great location, ski bus stops next door at the Ptarmigan so that's easy. The rooms are a bit on the small side, but the bathrooms in here are lovely and have a nice big shower. Fabulous! Great staff in all areas. Everything you need. Lovely breakfasts to set you up for the day and good Italian food in the evening if you want to stay in. Lovely spa, pool and gym facilities for the end of day wind down.

Great accommodation, with two fantastic hot tubs with some of the best views on the planet! Staff excellent, loads of Aussies and Brits, as there were throughout the town. Would definitely stay here again.

Apart from a few minor room issues that were reported but never resolved- the 1 bedroom suite was brilliant with our own mini kitchen eye and fire in the living room to eat breakfast. Best part was the rooftop sunken hot tubs with views of the mountains!
