Located in a beautifully scenic and peaceful area in the middle of a forest, in Kananaskis Country in Alberta, Nakiska was purpose-built for the 1988 Calgary Olympic Games as it was the closest ‘real’ mountain to Calgary, just one hour away.

A small and fairly simple resort, Nakiska is an ideal destination for families and those learning to ski or snowboard, but as it was built for the Olympics there is also some challenging steep terrain. The resort has state-of-the-art snowmaking and so is able to offer reliable conditions throughout the season.

Aside from the skiing there is a host of other winter activities to try in the area, from outdoor adventures like fat biking and cat-skiing to more relaxing pursuits like sleigh rides and the Kananaskis Nordic Spa.

It would make a perfect last stop on a ski safari, you could even get some turns in prior to leaving for the airport on the last day!

Every holiday is tailor-made, just for you.
