Childcare Facilities

Daycare - Ages 6 months to 8 years. The friendly and caring staff welcome your child to the Lone Peak Playhouse (LPP), right at the base of Big Sky's slopes. Relax and enjoy the area while your child plays with other children in the safe and fun environment. The centre operates in conjunction with Big Sky Resort and the Snowsports School. LPP is conveniently located in the Snowcrest Lodge, across the hall from the Snowsports School.

Childcare with Ski Lessons - The Lone Peak Playhouse will dress your child for their lesson & a ski instructor from the Big Sky Snowsports School will pick up and drop off your child at our door. Please have your child at the Playhouse at least 20 minutes prior to lesson time. If your child's ski lesson begins or ends before or after the childcare please be prepared to meet your child with their instructor at ski school's gathering area.

Babysitting - Evening childcare can also be arranged through Big Sky Resort's concierge. Summit Hotel: (406) 995-8006. All other properties, please call (406) 995-5806. Please give 48 hours notice.

Supermarkets and shops

• Hungry Moose Market & Deli - open 6.30am - 10pm.
• Boot fitting available at Peak Pros - open 8am - 8pm.
• A small selection of shops, with more in the nearby town, a 15-minute drive away.

Bars and restaurants

• For dining options, Big Sky resort has many options, including Scissorbills Saloon, Montana Jack and Peaks Chophouse
• Over 20 places in town to eat and drink. Live bands, ski movies and family fun.

Leisure and sports centres

• Solace Spa and Recovery Lounge at Big Sky Resort - Treat your body right after a long day of activities with a hot stone massage or body wrap
• Huntley Lodge Swimming Fitness & Wellness - Workout facilities are located in the Huntley Lodge lower level, Shoshone Condominium Hotel health club and Summit Fitness Centre. Outside condominium guests may use the Huntley Facilities. The Huntley Lodge has a large outdoor swimming pool and two large outdoor jetted soaking pools.
• Shoshone Condominium Hotel has an outdoor swimming pool with a lap lane and indoor hot tub connecting to the pool for Shoshone guests, and Summit has a very roomy outdoor jetted soaking pool with an entrance within the fitness centre for guests.
• Village Center guests have their own workout room and slopeside pool with hot tub.
• The Wellness Studio, located on the pedestrian level of Village Center offers yoga, pilates and other fitness classes.
