Colorado Cat-Ski Safari
Experience some of the world's best ski terrain on five unique mountains, enjoy the driest powder in Colorado by snowcat and treat yourself to gourmet dining. This is recreational powder skiing at its finest.
The Colorado Cat-Ski Safari takes in two classic American ski resorts, Aspen Snowmass and Steamboat, plus a cat-ski experience like no other. This powder road trip is ideally suited to strong intermediate to advanced skiers and snowboarders with a variety of off-piste experience.
The cat-ski days provide the opportunity to enjoy open zones with sparse trees, take powder turns through the famous Aspen groves, float through north-west Colorado’s trademarked Champagne Powder® and enjoy sumptuous gourmet food amongst spectacular scenery. There's no better way to experience Colorado's finest and lightest powder.
Our Colorado Cat-Ski Safari is ideally enjoyed over a 10+ night period, with five nights in each resort. This allows for nine days on the snow - two of them in a snowcat.
All our ski safaris are completely customisable, so you can alter the itinerary to suit your preferences - whether that means more skiing, more sightseeing, or different resorts and attractions.

Aspen & Snowcat Powder Tours
We suggest you spend five nights immersing yourself in the unrivalled variety of the four resorts that make up Aspen Snowmass (Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, Buttermilk and Snowmass). Blessed with reliably deep snow, breathtaking views, immense terrain, incredible accommodation and 336 ski runs, Aspen in itself is extraordinary and is one of the best ski towns in North America.
For a truly once in a lifetime experience, couple this with the exclusive Little Nell Snowcat Powder Tour, where you will be treated like royalty. Enjoy the best recreational powder skiing on the planet and then taste sumptuous gourmet food paired with wines from the legendary Little Nell wine collection at a remote cabin in the heart of the Elk Mountains. Available to guests of the Little Nell and both Limelight Aspen and Limelight Snowmass hotels, this cat-ski day provides the most exclusive introduction to recreational powder skiing in the world.
Steamboat & Steamboat Powdercats
Quite possibly only Alaska and Utah can lay claim to having snow as dry and light as the Champagne Powder® that falls on Steamboat’s 80% intermediate and advanced terrain. The resort, spread over six peaks, offers some of the best tree skiing in North America, long and fast cruising runs and a truly authentic cowboy town. We highly recommend First Tracks to upload in the gondola at 8am to ski Spur Run or Huffman's to Sundown Express before anyone else. The terrain at Steamboat provides the perfect warm-up for the snow-laden terrain in Buffalo Pass, just a 25-minute drive from the resort, where Steamboat Powdercats operate.
Snowcat skiing and riding with Steamboat Powdercats is an incredible experience. Along with the legendary powder, you couldn’t ask for a better location. Buffalo Pass is known for Colorado’s deepest annual snowpack and has a plethora of north, south, east and west facing zones. Operating since 1983, they have your day 100% ordered by placing you in level 1, 2 or 3 based on ability, so you can maximise your fun on terrain that suits you with a group stoked to enjoy the same experience.
