Powder
Experience the incredible deep powder of Niseko, Furano, Rusutsu or Kiroro, knowing Whiteroom's expert guides will make it a day you'll never forget. From in-resort powder stashes to the wilderness beyond boundaries, Hokkaido's phenomenal terrain is yours to explore.
Of these resorts, Niseko’s backcountry and sidecountry terrain is the most world-renowned, due largely to the huge amount it receives. If you choose to ski here, you will access unpatrolled, off-piste terrain via Niseko’s 11 backcountry gates, marked from G1 to G11 across the mountain (two are in Moiwa). The lesser-known but equally superb Furano has four gates to beyond-boundary terrain, where you can discover ample deep powder pockets and wonderful tree skiing.
Based in Niseko and Furano, Whiteroom will provide transfers to/from Rusutsu and Kiroro. These can be incorporated into day trip packages to really maximise your skiing options. As well as backcountry guiding, lift-assisted and in-resort powder discovery are also possible across all locations.
Safety, flexibility and adaptability are key to a great guided experience. Whiteroom's guides are experienced guides on the snow and come from around the world with accreditations and years of mountain guiding, ski patrolling, instructing, avalanche certifications and first-aid experience.
They study the weather and mountain environment continuously to ensure the best location is chosen each day in consultation with your group, ensuring you get the best conditions on your guided day at one of the many resorts in the Furano or Niseko areas.
Courses offered by Whiteroom
Whiterooms offers five types of guided skiing programmes. Avalanche safety equipment is mandatory on all guided day courses.
