We’ve put together an idea of what to expect on this Arctic adventure, however, options will be flexible depending on conditions, ability and group wishes.
The trip will run from 15 to 22 March 2020, when you can expect excellent snow conditions (typically over 2.5m base).
Riksgränsen Hotel has a range of accommodation from simply furnished "skiers" rooms to the more stylish "hotel" rooms, the latter are included for this trip. It also has good facilities, including ski rental with a wide range of equipment, a spa with indoor pool and outdoor hot tubs (local charge), the award-winning Lapplandia restaurant, bar with sun terrace and night club. Daily breakfast and four evening meals are included here. For the remaining three nights we propose the bar menu and an evening at the nearby new Niehku Mountain Villa.
There will be an option to add heli-skiing (from around £450pp for a 3 run package), cat-skiing (from around £80pp) and/or snowmobiling to access ski touring terrain (from around £185pp) - these are not included in the package price.
The trip is aimed at confident intermediate and above skiers (able to ski parallel turns on red and black pisted runs), with a little off-piste experience and the desire to do more. However, if you are more, or less, experienced off-piste and wish to join this group trip, we can accommodate you too.
