Many of us have visited and, regardless of where else we’ve been and what we’ve skied, Sun Peaks is top of our list for all-round fun on the slopes. Why? We asked everyone to share their absolute favourite run...
Andy K - Gil's
"The 10-minute hike to Gil's where you will see absolutely no one - if you think the lifts have no queues then imagine what the off-piste is like. It's not renowned for steep and deep, and to be honest, it's not steep, but it certainly is deep and well worth the effort of a 10-minute hike up a cat track."

Matt - 5 Mile
"Skiing ‘5 Mile’ on Mt Tod with the kids a couple of years ago on our tour of the Okanagan resorts - great for fast carving turns, with Katherine and Daniel cutting in and out of the trees and bumps to the side."

Claire - Mid-Life Crisis and Still Smokin'
"Early this April we arrived to new snow and I enjoyed venturing over to the Morrisey area where we spent the morning lapping the blues around the Morrisey Express. Mid-Life Crisis and Still Smokin' were addictive and it felt like we were the only people on the mountain - in the whole morning we saw just four other skiers!"

James & Kirstin - Through the Village
"Sun Peaks is one of the few places where you can actually ski into the village, grab a bite to eat and a beer and ski back out again. For that reason, I can't not mention the run (with no name) through the village centre, a definite favourite!" - James
"I injured myself on the first chair up, but I can tell you all about the bars and cafes on the very easy village centre run!" - Kirstin

Luke & Andrea - Morrisey
"The runs over on Morrisey are easily the most fun in the whole resort if you like big, gnarly blacks in the trees - Tumble Dry, In Tatters and Static Cling to name a few..." - Luke
"Same as Luke, the gladed tree runs from the top of the Morrisey Express chair." - Andrea

Rupert - Crystal Bowl
"Hands down, the Crystal Bowl! Doing laps on the Crystal chair and then dropping into the bowl gives you access to some amazing terrain - hit it on a powder day and it is heaven!
Vicky - Too Many to Choose!
For myself, I couldn't choose just one. On a trip in March 2016 I had possibly one of my best ever runs floating down from Gil's Traverse:
To the left of Father Tom’s off the Burfield chair, there is a short boot hike to get to a really fun meadow which leads back out to the blue Roundabout run. Totally empty and definitely worth heading to after a snowfall...

And then there was tackling the black diamond Lint Trap with my friend's daughter the next day over on Morissey - five-year-old Ily was way better than me on skis. But if you'd rather get down on something more mellow, then Grand Return is super-long and very fun all the way back to base on a blue. Friends from Canmore had joined us for their first family ski holiday outside of Banff National Park and Ily considered this the most fun she’s ever had on skis, a testament to the diversity of the terrain that Sun Peaks can offer!
