Overview
Montréal is a good place to stop over before or after skiing at Tremblant, particularly as the distances to and from the airport and the resort are relatively small.
It is a culturally diverse city – as well as being the second largest French speaking metropolis outside France, a huge range of nationalities have made the city their home. As a result there is an incredible variety of places to eat and it is the arguably the most vibrant city in Canada.
The historic Vieux-Montreal has some beautiful buildings which contain restaurants, art galleries and smart shops. The downtown area is home to the famous Underground City, the vast network of climate-controlled passages which provide access to the Metro, offices, hotels, restaurants and a huge range of shops.
