The largest ski area east of the Rockies - an attention grabbing fact that should really make you look twice at Sugarloaf.

Thanks to recent expansion, the skiable terrain now reaches over 1,100 acres, dwarfing all other resorts in the East. Not all of this terrain is lift serviced but with a huge vertical of over 2,800 ft to play with there is more than enough here to entertain. With its neat little resort village and long season, this a resort that is well worth a visit on any East Coast ski trip.

Although Sugarloaf offers a huge amount of terrain for an East Coast resort, realistically you will want to consider taking some time in another resort. Sunday River is just 1½ hours drive away and is on the same lift pass making it a perfect twin centre option. It is also a nice way of breaking up the journey from Boston. Alternatively why not combine Sugarloaf with some of the other resorts in the area on a New England Safari.
