Åre & the Arctic - great skiing, great food, and you get to travel 1000km on a quaint sleeper train. You really get to see the best of Sweden this way.
Heli skiing in Zermatt, hands down. Fresh snow, no-one around for miles, glorious sunshine. Contender for best moment, full stop!
Started skiing at the age of 2, attempted boarding a few times but gave up quickly. I’ve skied Europe, North America and Scandinavia and worked a couple of seasons, one in Tignes and one in Whistler.
Banff, Jasper, Norefjell and Hemsedal.
Tremblant, and maybe a drive over the border to Jay Peak.
I’m also a musician and have played with my university big band in front of 4000 people.
The Icefields Parkway (in between Jasper and Banff) is one of the most beautiful drives in the world, in winter or summer. I loved Jasper’s ski area, Marmot Basin, a playground for off-piste skiing. Plus there are lots of friendly elk around!
