Zurich City Add-On
Switzerland
Less than an hour away from the mountains, Zurich is an international city in a phenomenal location surrounded by peaks and lakes, combining an original, urban buzz with natural wonders.
The city plays host to countless events, festivals and cultural points of interest all year long and happens to be the first or last stop of any rail journey back to Zurich International Airport.
Often ranked amongst the top cities in the world for quality of life, Zurich is one of Switzerland’s key centres for culture, economy and nightlife. It exemplifies the “boutique city” with a high quality of living surrounded by nature, traditional ethics and some of the best restaurants anywhere in the world, but without the big city attitude that can be overwhelming.
Zurich is a year-round city, but winter is especially wonderful as there are plenty of activities to get stuck into - not all of them have to be active, if it's peace and quiet you are after. There are plenty of spas and Swiss hammams to retreat to, while everyone else can grab a hot chocolate and eat cheese fondue!
"Zurich is one of the nicest places in Europe to visit in its own right - a trendy, beautiful, traditional Swiss city which also happens to be one of the most accessible to the Swiss Alps. Lakefront views over the mountains are simply awesome."

- Zurich Opera House – although it seats over 1,100 spectators, the ZOH is one of the smallest international opera houses.
