This two day program will give you the opportunity to learn how to use avalanche snow safety equipment under the supervision of expert guides, and you'll also get the chance to be guided in what is regarded as one of the top freeride resorts in Europe.

Engelberg has some great off-piste ski runs, including the famous Laub (1,100m) and the Galtiberg (2,000m), which descend the north face of Titlis (3,238m).
It's the place that Swiss off-piste skiers head to for some exhilarating lines that cut through steep and imposing terrain. Snow safety is an important part of skiing off-piste and backcountry and with the range of avalanche safety equipment available it can often be overwhelming to know how the equipment works and what to buy. This program run by the resort will ensure you stay safe when heading off-piste, while also including guided skiing.
There are limited places available on a first-come-first-served basis, so it's worth booking early.

Itinerary
Engelberg's Snow & Safety Days course is running 11, 18, 25 January and 01, 08 February 2021 for up to 16 people (two groups of eight). Places must be booked in advance.

Ability
You must be able to ski safely on black diamond runs and have a good level of physical fitness.
Equipment
Ski pass and ski touring equipment (avalanche transceiver, shovel, probe and airbag backpack are recommended - available to rent at the mountain guide office or local sport stores) are required.
