10 New Hotels and Ryokans in Japan

With more of our customers visiting Japan than ever before this season, we made sure to visit every resort we offer ourselves to track down the best accommodation options to add to our programme for 2018/19 - from family-run ryokans to luxury new hotels.

We've added ten new accommodation options across four resorts - Niseko, Furano, Hakuba and Nozawa Onsen - and below I've featured our top recommendation in each.

Niseko

5* Skye Niseko

Opening December 2018 right on the slopes of Hirafu, the 5* Skye Niseko offers a true luxury ski-in ski-out experience. Made up of 105 studios, suites and penthouses, all units come with kitchens, so there is the option to self-cater. The on-site restaurant Kumo will be available for breakfast, lunch and dinner and the deli will also provide quick breakfasts and grab-and-go healthy meals for your room. The upscale resort facilities include a concierge, spa, ski valet and onsen.

The ski shuttle departs from the train station just opposite, and free passes are provided by the hotel. The welcoming lobby opens up to a charming restaurant and cafe, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner - the coffee here is said to be the best in town and we believe it!
