Introduction

This amazing natural phenomenon can be experienced as an add-on to a ski holiday at any Western Canada resort using Calgary or Vancouver as an arrival or departure point. You will need a few days extra but it is well worth the time and effort.

From September to April, the northern lights take up residence in the skies over the Yukon. Depending on the cloud conditions, you can spend hours transfixed by an ethereal display of shimmering and dancing colours shifting overhead.
