One of the original ski resorts on the East Coast, Mount Snow is 55 years old this year. With 80% of its terrain covered by snow-making, it is consistently one of the first resorts to open in the east. The resort is ideal for beginners, intermediates and families with a dedicated learning area, easy access to the slopes and great childcare facilities. It is also especially good value-for-money for families with some fantastic offers including Kids Ski Free up to 18 years.
Mount Snow is situated within the Green Mountain National Forest and operates under a special use permit from the US Forest Service. It comprises 4 separate mountain areas: Main Face, North Face, Sunbrook, and Carinthia. For the freestylers and more accomplished skiers and riders, Carinthia the East Coast's first All Park Mountain Face, which debuted in the 2008-2009 season, is home to twelve parks, with both natural and man-made features, over 125 in total, and two half-pipes.
The resort's proximity to Boston and New York (two of the USA’s top city stay destinations) and direct 7 hour flight from London, Manchester, Edinburgh and Glasgow, make this an ideal option for people who are looking for shorter duration ski holidays, or a holiday that combines skiing with a city experience - such as a Christmas shopping trip to New York.
