Why Breckenridge?
Breckenridge, one of the UK's favourite US ski holiday destinations. Last season it celebrated its 50th anniversary! It is a traditional old mining town, high altitude and snow sure, plus it's only an easy 2 hour transfer from Denver airport.
The type of skiing varies between the different peaks - beginner and intermediate runs are found on Peak 7 and 9's wide groomed terrain. Peaks 8 and 10 offer more challenging slopes with bowl and glade skiing at altitude with cruising blue runs from Peak 8 mid-mountain to the base, only black runs can be found on Peak 10. The combination of good skiing and a town that caters for every taste and pocket, means that there is genuinely something for everyone in Breckenridge.
The accommodation is concentrated in three areas - around Main Street, the base of Peak 9 and along the Four O' Clock Run. The main ski-in hotels are located at the on or around of Peak 9, good value-for-money condos on the Four O' Clock Run and the cheaper hotels and townhouses on Main Street.
Crystal Peak Lodge with ski-in ski-out condos at the base of Peak 7 and next to the Gondola, providing very quick access to the Peak 8 base. One Ski Hill Place is a super luxiourous property located at the base of Peak 8.
The town gondola links Main Street with Peak 7 and 8 which makes Breckenridge even better!

There are about 80 restaurants & bars which get quite lively in the evening, and for the non skiers there is 180 shops to peruse . Breckenridge is a great introduction to North American skiing.
