Stowe is a small, pretty New England town with skiing on Vermont's highest mountain a few miles up the road. Hotels, shops and restaurants are either in the town or along the road up to the skiing - the town trolley takes you back and forth.
The skiing at Stowe is suitable for all abilities, with the famous Front Four double blacks, being some of the toughest in New England. They are replacing the iconic Four Runner Quad lift this year with a new Quad. This lift was the first High Speed Detachable Quad Chair built in the USA and has been the lifeline for the famous Front Four Double Black Ski Trails. This new lift will increase uphill capacity and give skiers and riders the ability to get to these trails even faster this year.
Stowe resort now has a Slope-Side 420 seat Performing Arts Center that offers a little twist to your usual Après skiing activities. At this new facility you can experience acoustic performances from headlining singers and songwriters, Comedians and feature films.
