Non-ski activities:
  • Environmental tours, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, fly-fishing, hot-air balloon ride, mine tours, Aspen Art Museum, Historical Museum, Art Galleries, Aspen walking tours, foot passenger gondola rides, Aspen Recreation Center with swimming and ice skating, sleigh rides, carriage rides through town, dog sledding, story telling hour by the fire pit in Snowmass Village for children, paragliding, shopping, Snowcat rides to mountain restaurants for gourmet dinners, Wheeler opera House for ballet, concerts, films and theatrical productions, movie theatres, spas.

Families:

  • Treehouse in Snowmass – probably the world’s best children's centre. Art rooms, puppet theater, climbing walls, care for children 6 weeks to teenagers. Air hockey, table tennis, large screen TV.
  • Aspen Recreation Center, Powder Pandas at Buttermilk, babysitting services throughout the area, Snowmass Recreation Center, Story Telling at Fire Pit in Snowmass.


Resort facilities and services:

  • Free shuttles around Aspen and the Town of Snowmass Village from 5:30 am – 2:00 am each day. Service between 4 mountains free during the ski day (8:30am to 4:45pm). Additional service between Aspen and Snowmass 5:00pm to 2:15am for a small fare.

  • Two supermarkets in the town of Aspen. One supermarket in Snowmass Village.

  • 20 cashpoints throughout the town of Aspen; 7 cashpoints in Snowmass Village.

  • Over 100 restaurants and bars in the Aspen/Snowmass area.

  • 4 nightclubs in Aspen: The Fly Lounge, Club Chelsea and the Reagel Bar (dancing), Belly Up for live music by national acts.

  • 1 sportscentre in Aspen, 1 in Snowmass Village.

  • Isis Theatre and the Wheeler Opera House show films nightly.
