Skiing holidays to
Engelberg Switzerland

Expert Opinion

"Engelberg takes my breath away. The skiing is steep and north facing, the surrounding scenery is incredibly beautiful, the village is historical and lively and, best of all, no one has heard about it. It’s a real gem and I love it."

Engelberg is emerging on the international ski scene as a new, young and challenging weekend ski resort. The traditional village is surrounded by sheer and dramatic alpine mountains which provide a stunning backdrop for this gem of a resort – the name Engelberg aptly means Angel Mountain.

The high altitude, snow sure resort has some superb off-piste skiing as well as a selection of beginner and intermediary slopes. This combined with easy accessibility from Zurich mean that Engelberg is a great little weekend or short break destination.

Engelberg's skiing is split between two mountains. The Titlis area is ideal for advanced and intermediate skiiers with steep pisted runs and excellent off-piste on the Laub. The mountain has spectacular views, glacier skiing at the summit and a 2000 metre vertical drop. Brünni, on the other side of the valley, is ideal for beginners and families with some gentle runs.
