Flims Laax Ski Holidays

Flims Laax is the closest resort to Zurich airport at just under 1½ hours by car. Known as the White Arena, it is Switzerland's third largest ski area. The resort is made up of 3 Romansch speaking villages – Flims, Laax and Falera all of which share 220 km of interconnected skiing and boarding. Flims is the largest village and is pretty and traditional. Laax has recently undergone a transformation into a sleek, modern ski-in, ski-out resort with some excellent hotels and a selection of bars and restaurants.

Skiing reaches 3000 metres on the Vorab Glacier which lies directly above Laax. La Siala, above Flims, has a nice selection of easy reds and blues and Crap Sogn Gion has a variety of steeper blues, reds and blacks. There is also 40 km of designated freeride terrain.

As well as the excellent skiing, Flims Laax has made its name as an international boarding resort and often hosts international events. Its boarding facilities include 3 half pipes, 2 mini boardercross courses and 2 freestyle parks.

There is no train station in Flims and, although you can take the train and change onto a bus, we recommend that you take a private transfer or pick up a hire car at Zurich airport.
