Skiing holidays to
Davos Switzerland

Expert Opinion

"Davos was the location for last year’s Ski Safari trip. For a group of 10, it was great – masses of skiing, good eateries and plenty of bars and clubs for Rupert and I to wow Davos with our special brand of dancing. Same again this year? Let’s hope so!"

Tips & Advice

Here are our Top Tips for things to do during your stay in Davos:

  • Igloo Village - opening on 25 December 2007 in the middle of the Parsenn mountain at Hauptertaeli, is the new Igloo village. During the day, pop in and have a drink at the bar or have a lunch time fondu. And in the evening, you can spend the night on the pistes, when the village turns into a hotel complete with hot tub.

  • Schatzalp - our top tip for a delicious fondu is to take the fenicular up to the Schatzalp (which has a very interesting past and spectacular views of the resort). At the end of your meal, polish off a shot of Williams, hire a toboggan and race back down to Davos.

  • Partying - head to the Morosani Posthotel Nightclub - the whole of Davos will be there.

  • Our favourite lunch time spot is the Guggel on the Jakobshorn - its a real sun trap and serves up a good Rosti and Gluhwein. While your there check out the hot tub at the top of the Jakobshorn too.

  • For non-ski activities, book tickets for a game at the ice-hockey stadium and watch the famous local side go head to head on the ice, go ice-skating on the largest natural icerink in Europe or try cross country skiing and explore the beautiful surroundings on the numerous "Loipen" accessible from Davos.
