Skiing holidays to
Davos Switzerland

Expert Opinion

"Davos was the location for last year’s Ski Safari trip. For a group of 10, it was great – masses of skiing, good eateries and plenty of bars and clubs for Rupert and I to wow Davos with our special brand of dancing. Same again this year? Let’s hope so!"

Skiing in Davos, the highest Alpine town in Europe and the birthplace of modern day skiing, has all the elements for a fantastic skiing holiday or weekend ski break.

Davos is a cosmopolitan and lively ski resort surrounded by dazzling mountain scenery. The healing properties of the clean, crisp mountain air originally attracted sanatoria and spas. These have since been replaced by an impressive infrastructure of hotels, restaurants and bars to cater for the skier and boarders of all tastes and budgets.

Davos shares its ski area with Klosters and covers an expansive skiing area over 5 mountains - Parsenn, Jakobshorn, Pischa, Madrisa and Rinerhorn. The skiing in Davos is some of the best and most varied in Switzerland, catering for all levels of skier. Boarders are excellently catered for, especially on the Jakobshorn.

A 1¾ hour flight, a short transfer time to Davos and an excellent selection of hotels, restaurants and bars makes for a perfect skiing holiday whether it be for a weekend or a short break or longer.

Davos has plenty to keep the week-long skier or non-skier happy - natural and artificial ice rinks, an international ice hockey stadium, 75 km of cross country skiing trails, Nordic winter walking trails and toboggan runs to name but a few of its alternative attractions.
