First Tracks Lodge

Expert Opinion

"First Tracks Lodge offers the ultimate in luxury in self catering properties at an amazingly low price. The units are equipped to a higher spec than its sister property Legends, so is perhaps better suited for couples. Located at Creekside (the original Whistler Village and as large as some other Canadian resorts) the ski access could not be better or easier."

"Ski Safari's personal knowledge of the destination was invaluable! First Tracks Condo was excellent. Whistler Creek was quiet but ideal for us. Position of shops and ski lift very good."

"First Tracks Lodge comes highly recommended. There was 6 of us in a 3 bed/3 bath condo which was very large with a great view up the mountain. Dusty's bar for apres is on your doorstep, although the village is close and the bus or taxi will ferry you easily home from a day's skiing or apres. The Creekside Gondola is yards from the door and you can ski back to it at the end of the day. Creekside has all the amenities you could need if self catering, but if you're eating out every night then it's 5mins in a taxi ($10) to the main village. I would definitely recommend Creekside and First Tracks and we've stayed in the main village too. "

"First Tracks Lodge was lovely - the 3 bed condo was very large with a huge dining table plenty big enough for the 8 of us. The 1 bed condo had a separate living area with a fold out sofa that was more like a proper bed so my brothers effectively had their own room. It was very nice being able to ski straight down into Dustys bar at the end of the day and the ski lift queue was never very long in the morning. I would definately recommend Creekside and First Tracks - great position and taxis into Whistler were only about £5 each way. Only 1 very very minor negative point the run back to the hotel wasn't the easiest run and my mum (complete beginner at 50!) had to get the gondola home but this is a very minor point and she was quite happy skiing higher up and being able to get the gondola down!! This may have been the early season conditions making this run harder than usual though. "
