Humber Valley is a development of luxury homes and cabins set within a pine forest on a hillside overlooking Deer Lake. Skiing is at Marble Mountain a 10-minute shuttle away. Humber Valley is an ideal location for a winter experience holiday and is a great choice for a relaxing family Christmas.
The skiing at Marble is beginner to intermediate and ideal for first-timers, although there is cat-skiing nearby for the more adventurous. But there are many other activities on offer – snowmobiling, ice fishing, cross-country skiing, skating, snowshoeing, curling, sleigh rides and tobogganing – all to be enjoyed amid pretty scenery.
Accommodation is in what are effectively private homes – or chalets as they are known. They are extremely spacious and beautifully finished. The resort operates a little like a club, with a central clubhouse that has a restaurant and pub. A shuttle will come to your door and run you to the clubhouse. Further restaurants and bars can be found in the nearby town of Corner Brook and it is certainly worth exploring outside the resort area.
The friendliness of the people in Newfoundland is well known. Unlike our other resorts, flights are weekly only, with departures every Friday from Gatwick through the season. The flight is less than 6 hours and it is a 20 minute transfer to the resort. If you are looking for an property investment opportunity in North America, Humber Valley is an attractive option – please ask for more details. Statistics below are for Marble Mountain.
