Save money on your next ski holiday!
1. GET YOUR FLIGHTS ON HOLD EARLY
This is particularly important if you are restricted to the Christmas, New Year, half term or Easter holidays. As flight availability decreases, prices increase. We can't recommend enough that you get your flights on hold as early as possible, at no obligation, to secure the best prices.
2. CHOOSE YOUR DATES CAREFULLY
The price of your holiday can vary considerably, depending on the day you depart, especially at peak holiday times. Knowing when flight and accommodation prices go up in certain resorts and working around them can make a huge difference - please call for advice on this.
3. LOOK AT 'HIDDEN GEMS'
Some less-well-known resorts offer a fantastic ski holiday experience. The runs are empty, there are no lift queues, accommodation is often ski-in ski-out and the price can be significantly lower than some of the big name resorts. Please ask for our advice on the best option for you.
4. GO SELF-CATERING
Self-catering condos and townhomes make up the majority of accommodation in North America, and offer from 1 to 8 bedrooms, all with large separate lounges and fully equipped kitchens.
For any group of more than 3 people, these are generally your best value option. Here are some reasons why they work well:
-
Kitchens - save money on eating and drinking out. Many resorts have large supermarkets and most restaurants also offer meal delivery services.
-
Lounge - full tv/dvd players, fireplaces and sofas offer a more relaxiong atmosphere.
-
Facilities - most have hot-tubs (some private) and out-door swimming pools.
-
House-keeping - all offer mid-stay clean, with many offering a daily service.
-
Bedding - plenty of single bed options for children and single adults.
