Travelling at Easter?
If you have to travel over school holidays then this is by far the best time to travel!

The US Spring Break holidays have finished and many will be playing golf! This means that the slopes will be very quiet (in complete contrast to Europe) and the accommodation rates will have plummeted. You can almost get a 2 week Easter holiday for the price of 1 week if you were to go over Half Term or New Year.

The end of March and April have historically been one of the best snowfall periods – in 2006 Lake Tahoe got over 11ft from the 24th March to 17th April! This year again had great late season snow in April. Of course, when it is not snowing, it is sunny!
The best value places to travel to at Easter 2009:
In general you will find that flight prices increase for Easter on the 1st April. This affects the scheduled flight price to Canada much more than to the USA.
Some resorts stand out as better value options at Easter. A number of resorts that attract a lot of international visitors such as Vail, Whistler and Breckenridge keep their rates high all the way through to the 6th April, whereas other resorts, also with good late season snow conditions, reduce their rates from as early as the 23rd March.
